Kemet’s Collection began with something simple: using what I had.

As a woman of God, one of the truths I am continually reminded of is that the truth is simple. That belief became the foundation of Kemet’s Collection.

Before there was a brand, there was simply me—creating products for myself and my family with the things I already had around me. I didn’t always have the money to purchase expensive products, so I learned to look at what was available and find purpose in it.

Aloe. Lemons. Cane sugar. Essential oils. Ingredients that were already in my kitchen became the beginning of something much bigger.

I started creating these products while I was in middle school and high school. What began as something personal slowly became something my family could experience too. I watched them benefit from the products I made, and that encouragement eventually led me to sell my first product in 2020.

My first creation was a body scrub—made with the intention of caring for the skin through exfoliation, hydration, and the removal of dead skin and impurities. But as I continued creating, I realized that I was building more than products.

I was building a reminder.

A Reminder That Simple Can Be Powerful.

Kemet’s Collection was inspired by the way things were once created—with what was available, with intention, and with purpose.

There is something beautiful about returning to what is simple.

Before everything was packaged, complicated, and made to feel out of reach, people created from what they had. Families shared what they knew. Ingredients were gathered from their homes and surroundings. Care was personal.

That spirit is at the heart of Kemet’s Collection.

Kemet’s Collection comes from what Kemet collected.

It is a collection of things gathered with purpose—ingredients, ideas, traditions, and lessons that remind me that we don't always need more. Sometimes, we simply need to recognize the value in what is already in our hands.

Every product is created to be simple, purposeful, and impactful.

My hope is that when you use Kemet’s Collection, you feel that intention. I want you to feel connected to what you are putting on your body. I want you to remember that caring for yourself does not have to be complicated.

Most importantly, I want Kemet’s Collection to remind you of something I have learned along the way:

There is power in simplicity.

And sometimes, the most meaningful things begin with nothing more than what you already have.
